Wenn ich auf Reisen bin, falte ich gern etwas, das zum Ort passt, an dem ich mich befinde. Diese Sachen lege ich dann an schönen Plätzen ab oder verschenke sie an Einheimische. In Schottland habe ich Einhörner gefaltet, in Wales rote Drachen und in Newcastle Seepferde.
Die vergangenen drei Tage habe ich auf Malta verbracht und was faltet man da? Genau, ein Malteserkreuz. Ich hatte mich im voraus im Netz nach passenden Origamimodellen umgesehen, aber nichts Zufriedenstellendes gefunden. Da die Form aber wie fürs Papierfalten gemacht ist, hab ich kurzerhand meine eigene modulare Variante entwickelt.
Das Kreuz besteht aus sechs Teilen, vier für die Zacken und zwei für die Mitte.
Zurückgelassen habe ich ein Kreuz am Strand von Sliema, eines am Yachthafen von Vittoriosa und das letzte blieb in der Hauptstadt Valletta.

Some days before the journey I did some research in the internet, but couldn't find a satisfying model. As the shape is so close to Origami, I developed my own. The cross is made of six parts, four for the tips and two for the centre.
I left one cross at the beach of Sliema, one at the marina of Vittoriosa and the last one stayed in the capital Valletta.
