Wie üblich gibt es heute einen Weihnachtsmann, den es zum Nachfalten auch im Netz gibt. Dieses mal ist es wieder ein Video und ich empfehle Euch dringend, den Ton dazu einzuschalten, denn Nick Robinson, der Designer dies einfachen Weihnachtsmanns ist auch ein talentierter Musiker. So kommt die Hintergrundmusik auch aus seiner Hand.

As usual todays Santa is one you fold for yourself, as the instruction is available in the internet. This time again it is a video and I highly recommend to turn on the tone, because Nick Robinson, the designer of this model, is also a talented musician who is playing his own background music.

Der heutige Weihnachtsmann stammt aus einem der ersten Origamibücher, das ich mir gekauft habe, Rick Beechs 'Origami - a complete guide to the art of paperfolding'. Die Anleitungen sind Fotoanleitungen und leider nicht einfach zu verstehen. Dafür sind die enthaltenen Modelle aber sehr schön und so kommt hier auch der Weihnachtsmann auf dem Schlitten angefahren, designed von Sanae Sakai.

Todays Santa is out of one of my first Origami books I bought myself. It is 'Origami - a complete guide to the art of paperfolding' by Rick Beech. The instructions are photo diagrams and not that easy to understand. But the collection of models is really nice and so Santa is coming to you on a sleigh today; designed by Sanae Sakai.

Es ist offiziell, ich habe meinen Lieblingsweihnachtsmann gefunden. Dieser süße Kerl von Dimitris Dalas ist nicht all zu schwer zu falten und hat eine außergewöhnliche und nach meinem Empfunden wunderschöne Gestalt. Und eine öffentlich zugängliche Anleitung gibt es auch noch auf Dimitris' Flickr Seite.

It is official, I habpve found my most favourite Santa Claus. This cut guy by Dimitris Dalas is not that difficult to fold and has an extraordinary and to my taste beautiful shape. And the instruction is available on Dimitris' flickr page.

Origami Adventskalender - 12. Dezember

Immer näher kommen wir dem kürzesten Tag im Jahr und so bin immer häufiger gezwungen, bei künstlicher Beleuchtung zu falten. Das Licht reicht aus, um alle Falten im Papier zu erkennen, doch gerade in Sachen Farbe ist die Wahrnehmung stark eingeschränkt. Normalerweise ist das nicht so dramatisch, da ich die meisten Weihnachtsmänner aus einfachem 15x15 cm Kami falte - es ist eine Packung ausschließlich mit rotem Papier. Heute benötigte ich mun aber etwas größeres Papier und griff dabei zielsicher einen dunklen Rosaton. Bemerkt habe ich das aber erst beim Fotografieren...

We are getting closer to the shortest day of the year, which means I am forced to use artificial lights while folding more often. The loght is quite okay to see all the crease lines, but the ability of recognizing colours is limited. Usually that is no problem as I fold most of the santas out of 15x15cm kami, all from one package containing only red paper. But today I needed a bigger sheet and of curse to the dark pink one. I noticed my error while taking the pictuere...
